How to transfer files iPhone to Computer : Tips


Using the Shareit app

Install the Shareit app from the App Store if you haven't already.
  • Open the Shareit app on your iPhone.
  • Tap on the "Send" button.
  • Select the files you want to transfer by tapping on them. You can choose multiple files at once.
  • After selecting the files, tap on the "Next" button on your PC:


Download and install Shareit on your PC from the official website (https://www.ushareit.com/).

  • Open Shareit on your PC.
  • Click on the "Receive" button.
  • Share it on your PC will start searching for nearby devices.  

Back to your iPhone:

  • After clicking "Next" on your iPhone, the Shareit app will start searching for nearby devices as well.
  • Once your PC is detected, tap on its name to establish a connection.

On your PC:

  • Sharing it on your PC will show a confirmation prompt for the incoming connection. Click on "Accept" to establish the relationship.

Back to your iPhone:

  • Once the connection is established, the file transfer will begin automatically.
  • The progress of the transfer will be displayed on your iPhone.

On your PC:

  • Sharing it on your PC will show the progress of the file transfer as well.
  • Once the transfer is complete, the files will be saved in the default location set in the Shareit app on your PC.

Using iCloud Drive 

On your iPhone:

  • Ensure that you have iCloud Drive enabled on your iPhone. To do this, go to "Settings" > [Your Name] > "iCloud" > "iCloud Drive" and toggle it on.
  • Make sure the files you want to transfer are saved in an app that supports iCloud Drive. For example, if you want to transfer photos, ensure they are saved in the Photos app.

On your PC:

  • Open a web browser on your PC and go to www.icloud.com.
  • Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  • Once you're logged in, click on the "iCloud Drive" icon on the iCloud website.
  • Locate and select the files you want to transfer.
  • Click the download button (cloud with arrow pointing down) to save the files to your PC.

using cable and iTunes

  • Connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable.
  • If prompted on your iPhone, unlock it and choose "Trust This Computer."
  • On your PC, open iTunes. If you don't have iTunes installed, you can download it from the Apple website.
  • In iTunes, click on the device icon located in the upper-left corner of the window. If you don't see the device icon, ensure your iPhone is properly connected to your PC.
  • From the left-hand sidebar in iTunes, click on "File Sharing."
  • Under "Apps" or "File Sharing," you'll see a list of apps that support file sharing.
  • Select the app that contains the files you want to transfer. For instance, if you want to transfer photos, choose the Photos app.
  • On the right-hand side, you'll see a list of files related to the selected app.
  • Select the files you want to transfer to your PC by clicking on them. You can choose multiple files at once.
  • Once you've selected the files, click on the "Save to" or "Export" button.
  • Choose a folder on your PC where you want to save the transferred files and click "Save." 

Using Google Drive

On your iPhone:

  • Install the Google Drive app from the App Store if you haven't already.
  • Open the Google Drive app on your iPhone.
  • Sign in to your Google account or create a new account if needed.
  • Tap on the "+" icon to create a new folder or navigate to an existing folder where you want to upload the files.
  • Tap on the "Upload" button (usually depicted as a "+" or an arrow pointing upward).
  • Select the files you want to upload from your iPhone. You can choose multiple files at once.
  • After selecting the files, tap on the "Upload" or "Done" button to start the upload process.
  • The files will begin uploading to your Google Drive account.

On your iPhone:

  • Open a web browser on your PC and go to drive.google.com.
  • Sign in to your Google account using the same credentials used on your iPhone.
  • In Google Drive, locate the folder where you uploaded the files from your iPhone.
  • Select the files you want to download to your PC by clicking on them. You can choose multiple files at once.
  • Right-click on the selected files and choose "Download" or click on the download button (downward arrow) in the toolbar.
  • The files will be downloaded to your PC's default download location or the specified folder, depending on your browser settings.
